The power of passion

“I came straight from school, but was given trust and responsibility, right from the start. I represented the company at a customer meeting only weeks after my start and I quickly became more outgoing and confident with the growing responsibility". 

Martin works with the implementation of technical specifications and requirements for smart gas meters – a task he manages together with his fellow engineer colleagues.

“The team has grown since I started in 2014. We are more people both in development and testing and we have a really great and productive team. We do continuous optimization and have introduced new technologies, more automated test procedures and bigger integration test".

Working with smart gas meters Martin has growing focus on data security and data encryption. 

"Cryptographic technology is a fairly new and challenging task, but I like challenges in my job. Only when challenged, can we evolve and improve and I like to keep my skills up to date".

"It’s not only my job; it's my passion". 

”Joining the production team in FLONIDAN was very different from any previous job I have had. The work environment here is very positive, with an informal and open communication, based on mutual trust and responsibility. I have always been the shy type, but that all changed, when I came here.”

Marianne was trained as meter operator in the gas flow meter laboratory; a job she also holds today. Besides that, Marianne assists the gas meter assembly line.

"There is a high degree of employee involvement in the production department. We have short lines of communication; take initiate and have direct contact to the colleagues in other departments. I thrive in this atmosphere. We are always busy, time flies and I am always happy biking to and from work".

Apart from the 10 km bike ride, Marianne runs, does gymnastics and enjoy football.

"We have various fitness activities in the company, but I mostly exercise football from the spectator seat. As a FLONIDAN employee me and my family enjoy free entrance to local football matches".
